Sunday Mornings

If it snows on a Sunday morning, the lead pastor will make the decision whether to hold worship or not by 6 a.m. The congregation will be notified by the following means: the church’s telephone answering machine, web site, channel 9 WUSA, 102.9 FM, and WTOP’s website. If the 11 a.m. service is cancelled, the rest of the activities for that Sunday will also be cancelled.

During the Week

If Calvert County Public Schools close, we will cancel all activities and meetings. This includes church ministries as well as other groups using our facility. Staff with after-hours access to the building who can safely get here may do so, as needed; however, they will not be expected to report to the church building if we are closed for the day

Notification

Telephone contacts will be made as follows:

The lead pastor will contact the trustee chair (to verify if necessary), webmaster, media outlets, associate/assistant pastor, administrative assistant, director of music, and director of discipleship ministries.

The associate pastor will contact the sexton, lay leaders, council chair, SPRC chair, coffee hour coordinator, contact from men’s prayer ministry.

The director of music will contact all necessary music leaders and praise team and choir as appropriate.

The director of discipleship minister will contact the church school superintendent, lead nursery attendant, adult Sunday school teachers, and youth leaders.

The lead nursery attendant will contact the assistant nursery attendant and nursery volunteers.
