Statistics tell us that about half of all marriages won't go the distance, and of those couples who do remain married, many will eventually experience a less than satisfying relationship. Yet that is not what God intended for the marriage relationship. God established marriage as a relationship between a man and a woman that should be both honored and lasting.
“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.” Genesis 2:24
Building a strong Christ-centered marriage relationship is fundamental to honoring what God has ordained. It also strengthens families. One of the best investments of time a husband and wife can make is in developing and maintaining their relationship with each other. Trinity is coming alongside of couples who are willing to make this investment of time with a Marriage Mentoring ministry. Marriage Mentoring is where a relatively happy, more experienced couple purposefully invests in the lives of another couple to help that couple effectively navigate a journey that they have already begun. Marriage Mentoring is not marriage counseling - it is where a more experienced couple is willing to listen and share their time and experiences with another couple to encourage, challenge and motive them to strengthen their relationship. Marriage Mentoring relationships are established by pairing more experienced couples with couples who are recently married (Preparing), who have been married for awhile but are looking to make their marriage better (Maximizing), or who’s marriage may have hit a rough spot (Repairing).
If you would like to have a more experienced couple walk beside you, Trinity has couples trained to be Marriage Mentors available.
