Trinity UMC Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

Student has been accepted by an accredited and approved institution of higher learning.

Student cannot be a recipient of another Trinity UMC Scholarship
- High school graduates are required to include a high school transcript in sealed envelope.
Scholarships Available
Barbara Weaver Memorial Scholarship
Student must be entering or in a service related field of study.
William H. Scrivener Memorial Scholarship

Student is in good standing in a current graduating class in Calvert County.

Student is/has been actively involved in the youth group of Trinity UMC.

Required essay explaining what Trinity UMC Youth Group has meant to you.
Trinity United Methodist Church Scholarship
-
Student is in good standing in a current graduating class in Calvert County.

Student has been an active member of Trinity UMC for at least two years.
Kenneth and Roberta Van Duzer Memorial Scholarship
Priority will be given to a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Robert M. and Ruth S. Hall Memorial Scholarship

Student is a returning adult or 3rd or 4th year college student.

Transcript from college, if possible.
Philip and Joan Harper Memorial Scholarship
Priority is given to a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
W. Monnett Gott Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship is awarded to a member of an ethnic minority.
Jay Thatcher Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship will be awarded to a member of Trinity UMC.

Preference will be given to someone with a career in music; otherwise the scholarship will be given to a qualified applicant.
Applications are available from the church office of Trinity UMC, 90 Church Street, Prince Frederick. Office hours are Mon-Fri, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (410.535.1782). All applications and essays must be returned to Trinity UMC (P O Box 2142) by May 1 for consideration.
Criteria is determined by the family of the scholarship donor. |
